VARIOUS DIETS AND TREATMENTS – SEA-BATHING (DIFFERENT EFFECT)

Bathing in the sea has different effects on people. Salt water has an osmotic effect in as much as it draws water from the body. As a result, those people who always have some excess fluid in the legs will feel considerably better after bathing in the sea. Sea water will do the same for them as sea salt packs would do. If you tend to obesity, sea-bathing will usually help you to lose weight, even though you may not eat less. Excess weight and fat can be reduced because the sea stimulates the thyroid and gonads, thus benefiting the entire metabolism. All this is good for the figure and slimness may thus be within reach for some people. Sea air and sea-bathing are beneficial in cases of circulatory disorders, and diabetics will find sea-bathing good for them when they swim a lot and walk along the beach and over sand dunes. When stress and tension threaten your health do something about it quickly: take a holiday by the sea – there is no better remedy. However, while you are away from your work and duties, put them completely out of your mind and do not let the telephone interrupt your treatment. So, no telephone in your hotel room! ‘Switching off is absolutely essential during your holiday if you are to benefit fully from the ‘cure’ the sea can give you.
