NEW INTERCOURSE POSITION: IT’S SIMPLE AND GIVES WOMEN ORGASMS, INCLUDING MULTIPLE ORGASMS
Sex therapists report that the most common complaint from women is an inability to achieve orgasm during sexual intercourse. Some studies suggest that no more than 30 percent of women achieve orgasm regularly during intercourse. The good news is that a recently developed technique can help women have an orgasm, even multiple orgasms, during sexual intercourse.
The new technique, known as the Coital Alignment Technique (CAT) was developed by Edward W. Eichel, MA; Joanne De Simone Eichel, MA; and Sheldon Kule, DO; and reported on in the Journal of Sex And Marital Therapy. CAT involves a variation in a standard intercourse position as a means of heightening the sexual response in both men and women. Its developers say that it could also help increase the chance of both partners experiencing orgasm simultaneously.
The new position is similar to the standard missionary position in which the woman lies on her back with the man on top, and facing her. CAT varies from the missionary position in that the man’s pelvis should “override” the woman’s in a “riding high” alignment. The woman should wrap her legs around the man’s thigh’s, bending her legs at an angle which does not exceed 45 degrees. She should allow her ankles to rest on the man’s calves.
For this position to be successful, the man should let his entire weight be on the woman (he should not use his hands or his elbows to support his weight). Although the woman may find the man’s weight uncomfortable at first, it is necessary to ensure that his pelvis does not slide away from hers. The new CAT does not concentrate on a great deal of awkward (and tiring movement) as in conventional intercourse, but rather on the partners’ pelvic movement. The position is designed to allow rhythmic movement that is virtually the same for both the man and the woman. The penis and the clitoris are brought together tightly by the pressure and counterpressure created by the couples rhythmic movement. The result is one of maximum stimulation and almost certain orgasm for both the woman and the man.
